An evening at Café Basico. The stage is small, the closeness great. The air crackles. And yet, in these ten minutes, something emerges that is bigger than the room we are standing in.
Eros Tango Logos – for us this is not a title, but a question we ask ourselves anew with every dance: what happens when passion (Eros) and awareness (Logos) do not fight each other, but carry each other? When your I unfolds so that the WE can blossom? Two people hearing the same music – and yet each of them answering in their own way.
This is the essence of what we teach – not step sequences, but the ability to be fully present in the moment. The moment is the choreography. What you see in this video was not rehearsed like a show. It was heard, felt, answered – from the heart, in the here & now.
This is exactly what we want to pass on in our workshops and on our tango trips: not the WHAT – which step comes next – but the HOW: how you connect with your partner, the music and yourself. Besides physical techniques, this also takes mental tools. Tools of attitude. Who am I? What is my inner mood towards myself, towards this moment, this song, this partner?

“The dance of Isabella and Iwan is no ordinary tango, and yet … it is exactly that, for it embodies tango enchantingly, with all its longings, emotions and passion.
The dance tells a love story that the audience sinks into and feels along with.
Two people know each other only fleetingly, each devoted to their own thoughts, their own life and their own dream.
With the first notes of music they slowly awaken from their solitude, carefully and gently seeking each other’s closeness. They offer each other space in their own world.
The skilfully compiled music carries both the protagonists and the audience from one emotion to the next. First enchantment, then joy, which through playfulness and seduction finally flows into being in love.
For a few minutes the audience forgets the present and lets their feelings travel with the dancers beyond time and space.
The magic does not fade with the last notes of the music; it keeps playing in the hearts of the audience and lets them go on dreaming …”

Wow – thank you so much, Dorota, for this touching feedback, which I received in a personal message. I took the liberty of adding it here as a comment.
