Escapade Tango Camp is the most open format we know:
all levels, all roles (including double role), all music styles — contemporary, traditional.
No one has to have a fixed role, but you may. You can dance whatever you want.
Café Basico is no accident as a location. Warm hospitality, wonderful dance floors, an extremely relaxed atmosphere the hosts have created there. We've already held Eros Tango Logos there 7 times, and as a place it's a highlight every year. Now they're adding another very large dance room, and that gave us the idea of moving our brand-new and wonderful format here. There are also various accommodation options for every budget, from camping to apartments. An outdoor dance floor, a bathing river, a forest lake — that creates the space and atmosphere in which tango can really breathe. A summer week that slows you down, opens you up and connects you.
For dancers who want to rethink tango. All levels welcome.
ESCAPADE TANGO CAMP: A collaboration between elonga and Graphia Corpus
Isabella & Iwan dance with you together with the creators of the German-French association "Graphia Corpus": Sophie Lecomte from Brittany & Elie Golgevit from the South of France and all four guide you in turn through this experimental tango journey. Sometimes Elie & Sophie lead the whole group through a lesson, then Isabella & Iwan. The four teachers teach into one another, complement each other, inspire each other — and become students themselves in each other's sessions.
Two worlds, one language
Not dividing, but connecting. Not thinking in roles, but in dance connections.
At the forefront is genuine tango dancing – to all music styles from all eras.
All tango dancers are welcome, regardless of their dance experience.
You're invited to experience both roles, but you don't have to. You're completely free!
We work individually and as a couple. We explore intention and listening. We discover how autonomy and connection don't contradict each other, but depend on one another. A dance as a space for imagination, in which everyone becomes a co-creator of the danced moment.
Four voices, one passion
Isabella & Iwan
A dance and life couple since 2008, they continually explore their organic, contemporary dance style. Their approach: creating an inner body awareness through imagination and imagery, aligning from within, rediscovering their own feminine and masculine essence. Inspired by yoga, Cantienica, the Franklin Method, and collaboration with physiotherapists, contemporary dancers, and in stage and project work.

Sophie Lecomte | Saint-Avé
For about ten years Sophie practiced contemporary dance in a company, before tango opened up a new dimension for her 15 years ago: that of a shared creative space, where interpretation arises from constant dialogue with the other. For her, difference is not a burden, but an opening to the unknown. Even as a follower, never passive: using, transforming, entering into dialogue. Every encounter becomes an invitation to take the other into your own world while living in theirs at the same time.
Elie Golgevit | Montpellier
Originally a musician, Elie found a rebirth in dance – through contemporary dance, contact improvisation and finally tango, which he has practiced for years in double role and off role. His vision: tango as a triangular relationship between the two dancers and the music. Each responsible for their own relationship to their partner and to the music. From this grows autonomy, mutual listening, and dance created together.

What is the Escapade Tango Camp — and what makes it unique?
An experimental tango camp with four international teachers: Isabella & Iwan (elonga, Germany) and Sophie Lecomte & Elie Golgevit (Graphia Corpus, France). Four perspectives on the same tango — creating a depth that a single teaching couple could never reach. All levels, all roles (double role), all music styles.
Who are Sophie Lecomte & Elie Golgevit of Graphia Corpus?
Sophie and Elie are French tango teachers and body-work experts. Their approach, Graphia Corpus, combines Tango Argentino with somatic body work, contact improvisation and contemporary dance. Together with elonga, this creates a unique, cross-border teaching format.
What's included in the TangoCamp — how is the week structured?
The exact program and prices will be confirmed shortly. Planned are intensive lessons with all four teachers, milongas, and plenty of space to dance — on the outdoor dance floor, at the forest lake, or in the large dance hall of Café Basico. What is Café Basico in Kreuztal — why this place?
Café Basico is no coincidence for us: we've already held Eros Tango Logos there 7 times — warm hospitality, wonderful dance floors, a relaxed atmosphere. Now the venue is getting another large dance room, and that's what gave us the idea to move the Escapade Tango Camp here. Outdoor dance floor, forest lake, various accommodation options from camping to apartments — here tango can really breathe.
Who is the Escapade suitable for — do I need prior experience?
All levels welcome. Four teachers mean four different approaches — beginners are gently guided, advanced dancers go deeper. Double role: no one has to have a fixed role, everyone dances everything. Solo registrations and couples are equally warmly invited.
When can I book — and how will I know when it starts?

How do you teach — is it mainly about figures?
No. We dance with you ourselves — with each and every one of you. What matters most is clear body language, real communication and real connection in the dance. Figures and sequences still emerge with us — from the inside, out of the moment, growing completely organically.
How big is the group?
The Escapade Tango Camp is deliberately designed as a larger, open format — with four teachers working together. The guidance still remains very personal: we dance with you ourselves and also guide each and every one of you physically in class.
